Classes

The class structure is based upon the base model of Morgan. You can use the chart below to determine which class you car would be in. PLEASE NOTE THE CLASS STRUCTURE HAS BEEN REVISED AND EXTENDED FOR 2009.

In general standard cars are exactly that. They are permitted some minor modifications to suspension (dampers, brake reaction stays), air cleaners, balanced engines and stainless exhausts. ECU's may not be remapped (except on 4.6 plus 8's and Roadsters).

Modified cars allow much more tuning up to and including full race engines. Although don't think the only way to win is in a modified car. The 2005 champion was in a standard Rover Plus 4 and the 2007 & 2008 champion was in a standard Ford Fuel Injected 4/4.

• Carburettor engine up to 1701cc (e.g Kent, Pre xflow, CVH etc)
  • Standard = Class 1
  • Modified = Class 3
• Fuel injection engines (e.g CVH, Std Zetec)
  • Standard (up to 1800cc) AND 4/4 Sports = Class 2
  • Standard (1801-2000cc) = Class 6
  • Modified (up to 2000cc) = Class 7
  • Modified (over 2000cc) = Class 9

• TR engine
  • Standard = Class 4
  • Modified = Class 5
• Fiat/Rover engine
  • Standard = Class 6
  • Modified = Class 9

• Carburettor
  • Moss Box = Class 5
  • Standard = Class 8
  • Modified = Class 10
• Fuel Injection up to 4.0ltr
  • Standard = Class 9
  • Modified = Class 10
• Fuel Injection 4.6ltr
  • Standard = Class 10
  • Modified = Class 11
• Full Race = Class 11
• Modsport = Class 12

• Roadster 3.0 Standard = Class 9
• Roadster 3.0 Lightweight = Class 10

• Standard = Class 11
